Brazil Butt Lift Workout

This is my third day of doing this program and I absolutely love it. It's fun, but really intense! It comes with a "booty blueprint" that tells you which workout to do based on the problem areas you want to fix. Even though the program is focused on giving you an awesome butt, there's also an ab workout and tons of cardio. Every part of your body will be getting toned up!

You can order this through Beach Body. They also have an awesome website for those who are working out and getting in shape. You can track your progress and schedule workouts {here}... it's free! You get your own coach that will answer any questions about working out or nutrition and you can also see other people's transformations. It's a great motivation site!

Up in the gym just workin' on my fitness

Summer is just around the corner, so I'm determined to get my bikini body back! I've cut my calories and am working out every day. I forgot how good it feels after hitting the gym! I've stopped taking Hydroxycut - it made me really sick and it was nearly impossible to focus on school work. I started with some cardio and toning exercises. I found this routine on Pinterest, but I tweaked the cardio a tad. I found that keeping a journal of what I eat everyday and what exercises I do has been working out so well... I definitely recommend it!

Also, my boyfriend and I were talking about getting the Insanity dvds. Has anyone tried this yet? I heard it's way more intense than P90X....I'll probably die. Another set of workout dvds that should be arriving in the mail any day now is the Brazil Butt Lift workout! Leandro Carvalho, who trains supermodels, created the Brazil Butt Lift workout program and I've heard some great things about it. Can't wait to get started!

Healthy Food & Beauty Haul

I'm obsessed with Fresh Express salad kits.. they spice up plain ol' salad and the dressing doesn't have many calories! Fruit bowls from Publix are another favorite that are good to eat for breakfast. I also picked up some ground turkey breast and Manadarin Orange flavored Green Tea! Who said healthy has to be boring?

I also made a quick trip to Ulta and grabbed a beauty blender! This is used for application of foundation and is supposed to give an "airbrushed" look. I also found these Microdelivery Mini Peel Pads from Philosophy that contain antioxidants and lactic acid to help exfoliate and smooth skin. I'll be doing a post after I've used these two products for a while to let you know if they actually do what they claim!

Dieting

Today I'm starting a new diet! Fruits, veggies, water, tea, and some LEAN protein.. oh, and Hydroxycut. I was kind of hesitant to post this at first because the whole diet pill thing is a little controversial... oh well.
I'm not sure if Hydroxycut works or how well it works, but I guess I'll soon find out! I'm ready to shed a few unnecessary pounds ;-)

I also have a bottle of Zantrex-3 that I haven't really tried religiously, but if I don't see anything special with Hydroxycut, that will be my next go-to pill.. it worked for Snooki, right? Haha.
Of course, no diet is complete without exercise. I'm starting to do my nightly runs again and I'll be adding in some weight training here and there... I'll keep you guys updated!

Tea Time!

"Hi, my name is Monica and I'm addicted to coffee."
    -" Hi, Monica"

Haha, but in all seriousness, the start of 2012 has led me to start living a healthier lifestyle. One of my biggest vices is coffee {Starbucks to be exact}. Along with eating healthier and working out {hint, hint - future post}, I've decided to disconnect myself from my coffee IV and start drinking tea! I've never really been a tea-drinker, but now is as good of a time as ever to start! I went to the grocery today and picked up some Yogi tea and Thrifty Bee honey to begin my tea drinking journey...

I just added a spoonful of honey and it actually was super yummy! There's also a saying at the tag of the tea bag that says "The art of longing and the art of belonging must be experienced in life"... how cute is that?
Tea and philosophy all in one little package :-)
