A Quick Update!

I know I haven't posted in a while, but don't think that I've abandoned my blog! I've been sooo busy over the past week or so doing school-related things. Between assignments, quizzes, and tons of exams, I've been completely swamped and feel so guilty for not posting. There's only a few weeks left of the Spring semester (thank the Lord), so everything is chaotic at the moment... but it will soon be over!
I promise I'll be updating more frequently <3

Puppy Love

I'll admit it. I'm obsessed with taking a million pictures of my precious pup.. I'm that girl.
But who can blame me? He's just so darn adorable!
& yes, I dress my little boy in pink polka dots and faux fur :-)

Natural Tan?

So, I did manage to get somewhat of a "natural" tan after laying out by the pool on Saturday. The weather has gotten a bit chilly so I didn't have plans to lay out today or tomorrow. What happened to the all the hot Florida weather? Hopefully by Thursday it'll heat up some so I can get a better Spring Break tan!

Since it's supposed to be in the lower 70's tomorrow, my boyfriend and I have plans to go to a nearby park with Bebe and have a cute little picnic. Sometimes I forget how much I love to spend time outdoors - usually I'm cooped up in my apartment during the week doing school work/blogging/etc. I'll post some pictures tomorrow after our park outing and possibly might do a tutorial with the foundation blender sponge :-)

Have a good night!

LandShark & Sunshine

After we got home from our Rock Springs adventure, we all hung out by the pool for the rest of the day. Soaking up some gorgeous sunshine is how I plan on spending my entire Spring Break.

One of the best feelings in the world is laying out by the pool and feeling the warmth from the sun on your skin.. so relaxing!

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I discovered today that I really like LandShark. It's the perfect beer for a sunny day by the pool and the fresh slice of lime added the perfect touch.. so yummy!

Rock Springs Adventure!

It was 7:00am when the whole apartment shuffled out the door this morning. We decided the day before that today we were all going to drive to Rock Springs at Kelly Park. We just knew the park would be packed with people, so we left as early as possible. We stopped to get some coffee on the way, along with ice and water since we planned on staying the entire day. The vision of grilling hotdogs, tubing down the spring, and soaking up the sun was vivid in our minds as we eagerly made the hour drive.

Upon arrival, we discovered the the spring was off limits for swimming! "But we just drove an hour to get here!" Turns out there was an alligator lurking around in the water somewhere and, even though I'm a firm believer in the buddy system, this was one thing I was not willing to meet face-to-face. Oh, not to mention we were literally the only people there... I guess we were the only ones who didn't get the memo. Even though we were all pretty bummed about the news, we went for a fun little hike through the trails.

We walked down the trail for a while when, all of a sudden, we saw a turkey running towards us! As soon as my roommate, Sarah, screamed, it immediately turned around and ran the other direction. How funny/random is that? Even though the trip wasn't what we had planned it to be, it was nice to be out in nature during the morning hours. Who knows, maybe I'll starting going for morning trail hikes more often!

What I'm Looking Forward To: March

Spring Break
{March 2-12}
Seriously just laying out by the pool and doing absolutely nothing school-related sounds like a dream right now. The only thing standing between me and the best week of Spring is my Mass Comm. Law exam on Thursday...Can I please just fast-forward?

 GCB
{Premiering March 4th @ 10/9C on ABC}
Stands for "Good Christian Belles". From all the southern references and sneak peaks, this show looks like it's going to be pretty entertaining!

St. Patrick's Day
{March 17th}
The block parties in Orlando are always pretty fun... maybe this year I'll try some of the notorious green beer.

 Class Registration Day
{March 28th}
It. Is. Unreal. This will be the LAST time that I'll be registering for classes at UCF.  I'll be signing up for both Summer and Fall term classes - December 2012 can't come soon enough!

Spring Break Essentials

Spring break is right around the corner! No matter if you're going to the beach, pool, or on a cruise, here are a few things on my list that I think every girl should have in order to stand out this spring break!
    1. Bright Dress/Cover-Up   2. Cute Bikini   3. Metallic Sandals  4. Sunglasses (to protect those peepers) 5. Fun Floral Tote (to carry all of this stuff!)

 6. Colorful nail polish  7. Lipbalm with SPF  8. Tanning Oil   9. Blonde Shampoo (to bring out natural highlights)    10. Shimmery body lotion (to keep that spring break tan lasting)
 11. Coconut Rum  (If you're legal to drink)

Isn't he the cutest?

Target & Panera

    After getting out of class, Curtis and I decided to go get something yummy to eat at Panera. I always get the French Onion Soup... it's my all-time fav! Curtis ordered Chicken Noodle and added SALT this time around.. last time he got the packets mixed up and unknowingly put tons of sugar in his soup.. no wonder he kept mentioning that it tasted funny :-)

Shortly after, we ventured to Target where I picked up these ah-dorable flats for only $15 and an oversized coffee mug! I have this obsession with plain white dishes.. they just look so modern.

Sneak Peak: Inspo Board

Week full of exams!

     As you may or may not know, I'm a 3rd year college student at a pretty large university in Florida. I'm currently taking 17 credit hours/5 classes which = tons of exams, assignments, quizzes, and lectures! I'm extremely crazy when it comes to keeping things organized for school... it keeps things less stressful and I never miss a deadline!

     This week I have 3 exams (well, now only 2 left to take), a few quizzes, and some assignments due. To remind me when things are coming up and to plan things out, I keep a weekly board of school to-do's. I also keep a list on the side to remind me of my resolutions that I made at the beginning of the year :-)

     Even though my iPad is completely capable of keeping me organized with everything I have to do, there's just something about a good ol' fashioned planner that satisfies my "Type A" personality. It does sound kind of silly, doesn't it? Maybe I'll work on using my iPad more...

Writing out exam/quiz/assignment deadlines leaves me room to plan for study time.
           Of course as every college student knows, no study time is complete without a glass of wine!

                                        Now, it's time to get back to cramming for exams... Cheers ;-)

The Good & The Bad

   It's amazing how many ups and downs you can have in a 12-hour time frame. Because this is my first post on here, I'm going to make it short and sweet.

   The Good
   1) Woke up earlier than usual which gave me time to study for today's quiz and feed my Pinterest addiction.
   2) Bebe, my 7 month old Chihuahua, was being extra sweet this morning and was perfectly content sitting in  my lap as I studied... most of the time he finds all kinds of trouble when I don't have my attention completely on him.
   3) I got a call saying that I got the job I interviewed for last week!

   The Bad
   1) My boyfriend got his iPhone stolen today at the gym when he was playing basketball - we filed a police
       report with Campus PD, so hopefully we'll get some good news here shortly.

All in all, I can say it was a decent day. The good outweighed the bad and we always learn new lessons.
 LOTD:  Never bring your phone to the gym and always count the small blessings.

                                                                                      My two favorite boys! :-)
